What I have learned about being a Writing Tutor

I learnt that Tutoring is a serious job because we are facing students that really need help.

During my recent tutoring experience at the Writing Center, the tutor was professional with the tutee. She encouraged her to talk about her writing and actually questioned herself about her ideas. They shared stories and the session was a successfully collaborative experience. There were stories being shared in relation to the piece being written and I enjoyed it.

I feel trust is important for a tutee to have in her tutor, and this will easily encourage developmental writing.
